What it does
The gate check that never lapses
PPE compliance is usually enforced at a gate by a person, which means it is enforced as reliably as that person's attention and shift pattern allow. A camera checking every entry continuously does not get distracted at shift change, and it produces a record rather than an impression.
What gets verified
The model checks for hard hat, high visibility vest, eye protection and gloves against the rule set for that zone. Required items differ by area, so a visitor walkway and a live work area can carry different rules on the same site without separate systems.
Compliance as a number
Each check produces a result, which means compliance stops being anecdotal. Rates are reported by gate, by shift and by contractor, so a site manager can see where the problem actually is rather than inferring it from incident reports after the fact.
Honest limits
The model checks what the camera can see. An item hidden by posture, carried rather than worn, or obscured at the moment of capture may not be confirmed. The intent is to raise the floor on compliance and give supervisors evidence, not to produce a legally definitive record of every individual.

Checks what the camera can see, so an item hidden by posture or angle may not be confirmed. Rules and required items are set per site and per zone.
Questions
Can different areas require different PPE?
Yes. Required items are configured per zone, so a walkway, a live work area and a visitor route can each carry their own rule set on the same site.
Does it identify which worker is non compliant?
By default it reports the detection and the frame, not an identity. Sites that need individual attribution usually tie it to an access control badge event rather than to facial matching, which keeps the policy position simpler.
